All Educational Institutes To Remain Closed on Youm-e-Ali

The Sindh government announced on Friday that all schools, colleges, and universities would be closed on April 12, 21, Ramadan, on the occasion of Youm-e-Ali. Also known as Ali Day, an important day in the Islamic calendar observed in memory of Hazrat Ali ibn Abi Talib, the fourth caliph (Khalifa ) and the cousin and son-in-law of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It is a day of great significance for Muslims worldwide.

What is Youm-e-Ali?
